How to Install Brother TN660 Toner Cartridges

  1. Turn on your Brother laser printer and make sure it is idle.
  2. Open the front cover of the printer.
  3. Pull out the drum unit and toner cartridge assembly.
  4. Press the release lever and remove the old toner cartridge from the drum unit.
  5. Remove the new compatible Brother TN660 toner cartridge from the packaging.
  6. Gently rock the cartridge side to side several times to distribute toner evenly.
  7. Remove all protective seals, clips, orange parts, and packing materials.
  8. Do not touch the toner roller or contact areas.
  9. Insert the new TN660 toner cartridge into the existing DR630 drum unit until it clicks into place.
  10. Slide the green tab on the drum unit from side to side several times to clean the corona wire, then return it to the home position.
  11. Install the drum and toner assembly back into the printer.
  12. Close the front cover and print a test page.
If print output looks light or faded, remove the cartridge, gently rock it side to side again, reinstall it firmly, and print another test page. Also confirm that all protective materials have been removed.
