Von Städten mitten in der Wüste ist dann die Rede, von versteckten Oasen und von fliegenden Teppichen. Natürlich behält ein erfahrener Karawanenführer die genaue Lage solcher Orte für sich, aber wer die Wüste "lesen" kann, erfährt auch so genug, um sie zu finden. Und ein aus seiner Flasche befreiter Dschinn kann die Wüste jederzeit zum Vorteil des Spielers umgestalten - oder zum Nachteil eines anderen.

Die Spieler ziehen mit ihren Karawanen auf der Suche nach diesen sagenhaften Orten durch die Wüste - ohne ihre Entdeckungen mit den Anderen teilen zu müssen. Nur, wenn sie einen Ort auch nutzen, also beispielsweise in einer Wüstenstadt Handel treiben, erfahren die anderen Spieler die ungefähre Lage des Ortes. Ziel ist es, drei magische Artefakte nach Hause zu bringen. Die kann man in der Wüste finden oder als erfolgreicher Händler für viel Gold kaufen.

Bei der Ausrüstung einer Karawane ist Wissen über die Wüste ein enormer Vorteil. Denn die Kapazität einer Karawane ist begrenzt, und wer weiss, wo er bei Bedarf eine Oase oder eine Karawanserei findet, kann mehr Waren transportieren. Und für Handelswaren gibt es in den Wüstenstädten viel Gold ...

She had 1 best friend I wish we could have seen a little bit more of their friendship in this book. Her relationship with the male characters was good not to contrived or super instantaneous. And we had some fun plot twists that I didn't expect. I wish we had more of a follow up on the situation with her family her background and her mother who was a wench. I would definitely recommend this book.
