Das Sonnensegel aus robustem Polyethylengewebe lässt sich bei Bedarf einfach absenken und schützt so den Spielsand vor Regen und Verunreinigungen. Die schwarze Unterseite der PE-Folie ist zudem resistent gegen Schimmelbildung. Die Materialstärke beträgt 1,8 cm. Es werden ca. 315kg / 238L / 0,24m³ Spielsand benötigt bei einer Füllhöhe von 15cm.
