Er ist ein traditioneller georgischer Wein, der zu 100 % aus weißen Tsitska-Trauben besteht und unterirdisch in Tonfässern, den sogenannten Qvevri, vergoren wird. Die Tsitska-Trauben wurden auf der linken Seite des Flusses Kvirila in der wunderschönen Region Imereti gepflückt. Lagvinari wurde von Doktor Eko Glonti gegründet, einem Arzt, der bei der Weinherstellung einen ökologischen Ansatz verfolgt. Er arbeitet in mehreren der bekanntesten Regionen Georgiens, aber das Weingut selbst befindet sich in dem kleinen Dorf Bakurtsikhe im ländlichen Kachetien. Das Weingut ist dafür bekannt, dass es zahlreiche Michelin-Sterne-Restaurants mit seinen Spitzenweinen beliefert und bei den International Wine Awards mehrere Medaillen erhalten hat. Im Mund ist er vollmundig und voller Tannine. Wie die Nase ist auch der Gaumen neuartig und fruchtarm und zeigt Aromen von Earl Grey Tee, kräuterartige Anklänge von Lorbeer und pflanzliche Noten von Paprika, unterstützt von Noten von Quitte, gelber Pflaume und Kiwi. Der hohe Säuregehalt verleiht dem Wein eine frische, belebende Note. Er ist die ideale Wahl für alle, die auf der Suche nach etwas Neuem sind, und eine verlässliche Wahl für Fans von bernsteinfarbenem Wein.
