* Ashevak Adla ist einer der weltbesten Inuit-Schnitzer. Er stammt aus einer Familien von Stein-/Künstlern und lernte die Kunst des Schnitzens von seinem Großvater Aoudla Pee, der dafür bekannt ist, spirituelle Qualitäten in seinen Schnitzereien von Bären festzuhalten. Ashevak begann im Alter von zwölf Jahren mit dem Schnitzen und lernte von den größten Meistern seine Techniken. Er arbeitet dabei fast ausschließlich mit selbst gesammelten Serpentin Steinen, welche auf Hochglanz poliert ihre volle Schönheit zum Vorschein bringen.
