Geschichte: 
Obwohl ich auf einem Bauernhof mit Kühen aufgewachsen bin, hatte ich als Kind ziemliche Angst vor den imposanten Kühen. Für mich war es jedes Mal eine Qual die Tiere umzutreiben. Herzrasen war vorprogrammiert. Ich bin froh, in der Natur aufgewachsen zu sein, dennoch war das Leben auf dem Bauernhof mit all seinen Verpflichtungen und der fehlenden Flexibilität nie das Leben, was ich in meiner Zukunft führen wollte. 

Trotzdem gab ich als Kind allen kleinen Kälbchen Namen und wollte am liebsten jedes kuscheln. Eines Tages brachte eine Kuh ein totes Kälbchen zur Welt. So kaufte mein Papa bei einem befreundeten Bauern ein Kälbchen einer Milchkuh (da diese Kälbchen sowieso früh von ihrer Mutter getrennt wurden) und hoffte, dass unsere Kuh dieses Kälbchen als ihres annehmen würde. Das funktionierte leider nicht, sodass wir das Kälbchen mit der Flasche aufzogen und es zahm wurde. Ich verbrachte auch im Sommer viel Zeit mit dem Kälbchen auf der Wiese und hatte es richtig lieb gewonnen.

Da es sich um ein männliches Kalb handelte, wurde es nach zwei Jahren geschlachtet, da in der Regel nur die weiblichen Tiere länger auf dem Hof blieben. Für mich war es ein trauriger Tag, dennoch bewahre ich viele schöne Erinnerungen an die Zeit mit diesem besonderen Tier.
