Introducing the JP Australia Slalom S-TEC 2026.

Full control, full speed

Control and top speed—that's exactly what you need to reach the podium. JP's five slalom boards are built to race at PWA competition speeds, jibe at full speed, and maintain precise control across a wide range of conditions. Their stability also benefits lighter riders, who can maintain control even when overpowered and still accelerate extremely quickly. The new SL 72 takes performance even further with optimized hull aerodynamics, refined rails and deck shapes, and a higher waterline, so it cuts through chop effortlessly, accelerates faster, and remains stable even in the hardest jibes. The S TEC construction combines a premium look with less weight and greater stiffness, enabling earlier planing, easier handling, and higher top speeds. Whether you want to get on the podium or push your personal limits, the SL delivers the perfect balance of power, responsiveness, and confidence.

S TEC
The STEC construction used in all JP race boards offers very low weight and high stiffness. This is achieved through a sophisticated design concept.

  • No color
  • Anti-slip only in the standing areas
  • Compact pads with minimal EVA and adhesive
  • Refined, manually tuned lamination with individually prepared fibers

This construction enables earlier planing, easy handling, and maximum performance on the water.

The New 72

In the extremely competitive slalom scene, we are constantly working to improve our range. The SL 72 has been redesigned to significantly increase overall speed. To achieve this, the board has been trimmed higher in the water, reducing the wetted surface area and drag. This allows you to ride faster while maintaining more stability and control in rough conditions.

During development, the aerodynamics of the hull were optimized, especially in the nose area. A newly designed rail and deck shape in front of the Baseplate ensures clean airflow over the deck, keeping the board stable and efficient even in difficult conditions. Towards the tail, the outline and deck shape have been smoothed out, especially in the rear footstrap area, giving a more connected feel and a comfortable stance.

These updates also improve jibe performance. You have more control when entering quickly and more stability when accelerating out, making you more competitive not only at top speed but also at the buoy.

Important features carried over from the rest of the range

  • Smooth scoop rocker line and transforming V flow. Strongly pronounced in front of the Baseplate, flatter between the loops and opening up again towards the tail. This reduces drag, ensures a high and loose water position, and makes it easier to control when jibing, so you can come out with more speed.
  • High Apex Rail Shape creates lift for early planing, acceleration, and stability when jibing.
  • Tail Tuck Line with double-stepped cutout for maximum control, release, and speed.
  • Well-thought-out footstrap positions for efficient power transfer and easy entry and exit when jibing.

The basic concept of our SLALOM line

When designing and fine-tuning this line, the focus is on increasing the average speed over the entire course. The jibe is particularly important, as this is where the greatest time gains are possible in a race. The goal is to maintain speed throughout the jibe and come out faster.

The shapes offer a stable, locked riding position. Much less power is needed to reach and maintain top speed, and all models plane extremely early and cover a wide range of conditions. The wide tails provide a lot of leverage on the fin, which increases power and control.

The smoothly shaped decks ensure a super comfortable stance. You save energy and can push harder on long strokes.

All sizes have an additional pad wedge between the rear straps for a more direct board feel.

Each board size has its own tail cutout configuration to achieve the perfect mix of release and long rail line for control. On the larger boards, the first cutouts start further forward and the curve of the cutouts becomes more pronounced towards the tail. The goal is always efficient water release and even water flow around the fin, so that the fin gets constant pressure for power and top speed. The Slalom 62.5, 66, 72, and 76 have double step cutouts, where the two steps are of different heights.

From the middle of the board to the nose, the apex point of the rails has been raised. This creates more volume in the rail, which helps you jibe faster and with more control.

In addition to the aerodynamic deck shape, we use an additional recess for the deck box. This lowers the Baseplate, which gives you more control at top speed and when jibing. Close the gap: the lower sail foot closes the gap between the sail and the deck for maximum efficiency.

Six key design elements guarantee the perfect setup for PWA racing

Dual tail outlines. Each board size has its own contour. The cutouts reduce the outline width and the wetted area on the hull for less drag and more speed. The deck outline above the cutouts is wider so that the rear loop is further out. This allows you to put more pressure on the fin for more control and more speed. The double step cutouts of the 62.5 and 76 are part of this.

Transforming Vee Flow on the hull.
Strongly pronounced in front of the Baseplate, flatter between the straps, opening up again towards the tail. This makes the board ride high and loose and irons out chop. The curved rail line makes jibes smoother and helps you get out at full speed.

Compact Concept.
The parallel outline in the middle section of the short boards maximizes the gliding surface at the Baseplate and lifts them into gliding immediately.

Thin Profile.
Especially in the nose area, it reduces wind resistance. In combination with the aerodynamic deck, the swing weight remains centered, which increases control at top speed.

Deck Shapes Stance.
A small but important advantage. The ergonomic deck guarantees a relaxed posture, allowing you to concentrate fully on speed.

Deck Shapes Efficiency.
The aerodynamic deck reduces swing weight and, with the additional deck box recess, the Baseplate sits lower. This allows the sail foot to close perfectly, providing maximum efficiency and additional control during full jibes and at high speeds.

The boards have a deep Tuttle box and are not approved for foiling.

An action-packed dark romantasy
Format: Kindle
I loved this book! Queen of Roses is an Arthurian-inspired dark romantasy that is the first book in the Blood of Fae series. The story follows Morgan, the princess of Camelot who is rumored to be part fae. Fueled by prejudiced hatred and a mistrust of fae blood, Morgan’s abusive father strips her of her birthright and hands it to her half-brother, Arthur. Instead of becoming queen, Morgan is commanded to join the temple of the goddesses when she comes of age. However, Arthur turns into a psychopathic, power-hungry, fae-hating king as he ages. He develops malevolent plans and commands Morgan to find an ancient weapon with legendary power. Although Morgan is wary of Arthur’s intentions, she embraces the opportunity to go on a journey and potentially change her fate. The story picks up from there and we follow Morgan on her quest to find the ancient relic. It’s full of high stakes adventure, mystery, tension, banter, forced proximity, hidden magic, self discovery, and betrayal. This first installment of the series intricately develops the world building and character development. There’s little romance in this book, but it is evident that it is a slow burn that will continue to develop throughout the remainder of the series. Overall, I loved the world building, the epic fantasy, Morgan’s journey of self discovery, and all of the twists and turns that set the stage for the future installments. I can’t wait to see what happens next!

Arthurian Fae Quest…say less.
Format: Kindle
A fae centered Arthurian tale unlike any I’ve read so far. The author did a great job at descriptive world building, with scenes easily playing out in my minds eye. There was plenty of action, suspense, and even a touch of horror. An enemies to lovers, slow burn romance, a quest, with plot twist and turns aplenty. There was a love triangle, which I’m not usually a fan of but, it played out well in this story line. The FMC, Morgan Pendragon, was so blatantly naïve, yet I typically expect as much in a ‘book one’ of a series, especially one that features a fairly sheltered princess. I was happy to read that in spite of this, she still showed a strong sense of morals, fire, and spine. Now our MMC? Kairos Draven, aka Void’s Edge. Oh, how I’m a sucker for a smoking’ hot grumpy warrior alpha with a witty mouth, and a strong sense of “touch her and die” attitude, so you know who held all my cards. That ending? Just made me swoon all the harder. Now add a battlecat that rivals the size of a horse…and well Ms. Briar Boleyn you have well and truly stolen my heart. I’m excited to see where the story goes from here, and follow along to see more of the characters growth. I went into this story fairly blind, and I think I enjoyed it all the more because of it. Once the story got going, it had me in an absolute chokehold and it was difficult to put down.

Not a bad start
Format: Kindle
3 stars Thank you Netgalley and Briar Boleyn for the ARC! A camelot/king Arthur retelling with fae. I was hooked by the idea of this book immediately and was eager to jump into this world. • slow burn • enemies to lovers • who did this to you Morgan Pendragon watched her mother die by her father's hand when she was just eight years old, hiding under the bed. Morgan is believed to have the tainted blood of the fae in her veins and is cast aside so that her fathers illegitimate son, Arthur, can become the king. She's seen his cruel treatment of the fae firsthand, so when he sends her on a journey to find a fae weapon she seizes the opportunity to do more with her life. Along the way, she finds more than she could have imagined. I don't know a whole lot about King Arthur and Camelot but I had a lot of fun with this story! The plot has some similar tropes to popular romantasy books (From blood and ash) but there's enough originality here that it doesn't feel like I'm reading a copy. I liked how the fae were different in appearance than what is typical in most fantasy books I've read. In this book they have blue hair, violet skin and a wide range of other characteristics. I thought that the world building was easy to follow and I could easily immerse myself into this world. After reading the blurb I kept wondering when she was going to go on the journey to find Excalibur and it doesn't happen until around the 45% mark. The story is a bit slow at times but starts to pick up once they begin their journey to find Excalibur. The John Wick style Inn was a fun concept that I enjoyed reading about. There are a lot of similarities to this and FBAA and I would have liked to have it be a little more different, but I'm hoping book two will have the story turn into something of its own. Overall I enjoyed reading this story and I'm looking forward to reading book two especially after that ending.

OUTSTANDING
Format: Kindle
This was very, very good. The world is vast and characters are complex. There is a good plot with a whole lot going on. This is well written. Good twists and turns and some heart breaking moments. You will love these characters, they have heart and loyalty. I am hoping that there will be several more books. We've yet to see anything from the Sea Court but only a mention of them here and there. The Wood Court was given a quick couple of scenes, and only as far as some warriors, we've yet to enter their court and the Shadow Court, I'm not sure if they will be a force for good or bad, but they definitely will play a much bigger role moving forward. This is primarily the Ice and Air Courts. Told in multiple views, which I loved, it gives you a chance to see things from different eyes. There's alot of political maneuvering and deception. I loved it and will pick up the next book as it becomes available. If you like The Fae and the courts, you should love this. I think the author has mucn in store for us.

Definitely worth the read!
Format: Kindle
After taking a deep breath and taking in that wicked twist of an ending, I have finally composed myself. My first thought when I started this book was that I love Reyna's character. I was intrigued by her connection with her familiar and the Ruin that is plaguing her land. It came as no surprise that she took her sister's place in an attempt to protect her. When they reach the Air Court everything slows down. This is where it was iffy for me. First of all, I like multiple POV's in books however 7 is a bit much. It starts to interrupt the story line. I felt like I was finally making progress connecting with one character, then it was switched to another person. I felt they all had necessary or pertinent information but not necessarily were they all POV worthy. The only other thing that annoyed me was that Reyna constantly was " trapped." She would rush off without thinking, only to need rescuing. She is brilliant in a fight, but she really doesn't think through anything. Lorcan is amazing. I know he might be on the "bad" list, but his background is so interesting. Eislyn(Reyna's sister) is really so sweet, but calculating. I enjoyed her and Thane's dialogue. The author did an amazing job with the imagery in this book. Everything was so detailed it was easy to fall into the scene. I love unexpected twists and while part of the ending I expected, I wasn't expecting how it took place. All in all, I found it very entertaining and I am very invested in continuing this series. Favorite quotes: "The truth may be twisted but never false." "Who was she if she was not the enemy of the Air Court? What was her purpose of she no longer has that?" "In a war-torn land, love was always a lie."
