Tough Armor vs Ultra Hybrid — which is tougher?
Tough Armor is the heavier-duty option. Ultra Hybrid uses Air Cushion corners + clear PC back; Tough Armor adds XRD® Foam in the corners and a thicker reinforced back, with the integrated kickstand on top. If max drop protection matters most, Tough Armor T is the pick.
What is XRD® Foam?
A specialised polyurethane foam used in body armour and athletic protection — stays soft and flexible normally, but instantly stiffens on impact. Better at absorbing high-velocity drop energy than standard TPU alone.
How does the kickstand work?
A flush-fitting metal kickstand built into the back of the case. Flips out for landscape video viewing or video calls; folds back flat for normal use. Doesn't interfere with MagSafe charging when stowed.
Will MagSafe still work?
Yes — the MagFit ring is positioned around the kickstand. Wallets, chargers, and mounts snap on with full hold; charging speed matches a bare phone.
Is it bulky?
Substantial, not unwieldy. The Tough Armor profile is noticeably thicker than the Thin Fit or Silicone Fit — that bulk is what enables the XRD foam corners and built-in kickstand. Acceptable trade-off if max drop protection is your priority.

Heavy Duty!!
Performed extremely well. No buzzzing or poor connection. Extremely well built and has been working issue free for over 6 months! Instalation can be a bit difficult due to size and weight. Not really a problem.

Seems to be ok for the money
We use it to power a 2000w inverter for the refrigerator and microwave on our boat where sometimes it will stay on continuously throughout the day and it hasn't let us down. As others have said, the terminals are awful close together but for the money, it's worth it.

Been doing great since 2020
Used this to replace the charging solenoid on my diesel motorhome. Originally used a White-Rodgers OEM relay and it only lasted about 18 months. This has been going strong since 2020 and I use my motorhome about 10 months out of the year with lots of miles.

Buy something better
This relay has experienced failure again after just a couple of months of use. It's not the mag coil that fails but rather the contacts are of such low quality that they corrode beyond their ability to conduct power, and fast. I have had to change two of these so far and am on the third one. The seller will ship replacements but who wants to keep replacing them? I have to travel in my RV with a spare. This relay has never been exposed to the elements. It's safely mounted inside a sealed bay. Be aware of any brands that look like this, they are all the same.
