Compatible Air Handler Combinations (Max 54,000 BTU)

This condenser supports a wide mix of MRCOOL 5th Gen 6K, 9K, 12K, 18K, 24K, and 36K air handlers. Minimum of 2 air handlers must be connected. Total combined capacity must not exceed 54,000 BTU.

Example combinations:

• 12K + 12K + 12K + 12K + 6K = 54K
• 18K + 12K + 9K + 9K + 6K = 54K
• 24K + 18K + 12K = 54K
• 36K + 12K + 6K = 54K

Recommended Wire Size

• Recommended: 8 AWG copper wire – supports 30A MCA and 35A max fuse
• One Size Smaller (10 AWG): May run hot under load and is not code-compliant at this amperage—avoid use
• One Size Larger (6 AWG): Best for long runs—minimizes voltage drop and increases safety margin
