With the HORL Quick Lock, all options are available to you. Thanks to our innovative locking system, you can easily twist off and exchange the grinding discs. This enables you to discover even higher levels of sharpness using our accessories.
After sharpening using the HORL whetstones fine and extra fine, additional use of the HORL Kagami allows you to achieve an incredible mirror-like sharpness that sets new standards both optically and measurably.
After intensive research and countless tests on knives made of steels of all degrees of hardness, we found that a unique mirror-like sharpness can be achieved with a wide range of knives. Whether with the classic steels of European kitchen knives or high-quality Damascus and carbon steels, with the HORL Kagami you can take all of your knives to a whole new level of sharpness.
Make sure that the blade is also free of any burr. Fully use all of the HORL Premium Set. Further sharpen your blade for at least 5 minutes each side until mirror-sharp. It is important to always clean the blade and the whetstone between sides so that no abrasion particles can scratch the mirrored edge. As a final fine smoothing, slightly moisten the HORL Kagami and use for a further minute each side.
