- Our Lady of La Salette (French: Notre-Dame de La Salette) is a Marian Apparition reported by two French children, Maximin Giraud and Mélanie Calvat, to have occurred at La Salette-Fallavaux, France, in 1846.
- In 1846, the village of La Salette consisted of eight or nine scattered hamlets. The population was about 800, principally small farmers with their families and dependents.
- On the evening of Saturday, 19 September 1846, Maximin Giraud and Mélanie Calvat returned from the mountain where they had been minding cows and reported seeing "a Beautiful Lady" on Mount Sous-Les Baisses, weeping bitterly. They described Her as sitting with Her elbows resting on her knees and her face buried in her hands. She was clothed in a white robe studded with pearls; and a gold colored apron; white shoes and roses about her feet and high headdress. Around her neck she wore a crucifix suspended from a small chain.
- According to their account, She continued to weep even as She spoke to them, first in French, then in their own dialect of Occitan. After giving a secret to each child, the apparition is said to have walked up a hill and vanished from sight.
- After five years of investigation, the Bishop of Grenoble, Philibert de Bruillard announced in 1851 that the apparition was likely to be a True Revelation and authorized the commencement of the following of Our Lady of La Salette. His determination was later confirmed by his successor, Bishop Ginoulhiac.
- On Saturday, September 19, 1846, a “Beautiful Lady” appeared to two children, both from a local village in the French Alps: Maximin Giraud, eleven years old, and Melanie Calvat, almost fifteen, who were watching their herds on the slope of Mont Planeau.
- During the Apparition, Our Lady Mary told the children to pray the Rosary each day to bring Peace to the World and to bring an End to War.
- The children reported that Our Lady asked all to pray for the Conversion of all of Russia, to do Penance.

Picky dog approved!

I have wasted so much money on dog balls that they won't even pick up! They finally were obsessed with the Kong rubber green/blue or red/blue ones, but they're $3+. each, and they break from the dogs squishing it. I honestly had zero expectations on these, and they BOTH picked them up on the first throw! That's huge!!
Seem to work fine in the ChuckIt.
As for the squeaker, at first I was like "Oh nooooo." when they both loudly started! Much to my (and my neighbors') happiness, the squeakers stopped working after a couple minutes. 🤣

The squeeker isn't durable, but the balls themselves are.

I have two 70+lb, ball obsessed dogs (a field bred Golden Retriever, and an Old Time Scotch Collie), and these balls are living up to the abuse they're receiving.
In the fall we always lose a ball or two in the yard due to getting lost in leaves or longer grass, so I always try and buy a multi pack at the start of the season, so went with these this year. I'm glad I did. Great price for a 6 pack, they fit the medium Chuck-It launcher (a little loosely, but they throw just fine), have great bounce, they FLOAT (which means I didn't lose any at the beach), and they're super durable to the dreaded "mouth squish." The squeaker dies pretty quick, like, within a day, but it isn't the kind that can fall out or choke your dog, so no worries there.
The boys are happy, I'm happy, my wallet is happy - I've already ordered another pack.
