Konsep seri karya “The Alchemist’s Garden” berangkat dari gagasan tentang relasi manusia dengan sesama, alam, dan Tuhan dalam pencarian keselarasan. Proses ini menghadirkan esensi kehidupan yang menyatukan ruang, waktu, materi, hingga kosmos. Dari elemen kecil seperti kupu-kupu hingga semesta luas, semua saling terhubung membentuk pola yang tampak abstrak namun harmonis. Sebagai representasi Seni Grafis Surealis Kontemporer yang penuh simbolisme, lukisan ini merupakan koleksi unggulan di 2madison, sebuah Galeri Seni Jakarta yang merepresentasikan kurasi Galeri Asia Tenggara melalui pilihan Seni Terjangkau Indonesia.

Description:
The concept of the series “The Alchemist’s Garden” stems from the idea of the relationship between humans with one another, with nature, and with the Divine in the pursuit of harmony. This process reveals the essence of life and the soul that unites space, time, matter, energy, and the cosmos. From the smallest elements like butterflies to the vast universe, everything is interconnected, forming overlapping patterns that may appear abstract, yet it is precisely within this abstraction that harmony emerges. This Contemporary Surreal-Graphic Art piece by TEMPA is featured at 2madison, a premier Art Gallery Jakarta and a prominent South East Asia gallery for high-quality Affordable art Indonesia.


TENTANG SENIMAN :

Putud Utama (1991) dan Rara Kuastra (1992) adalah pasangan suami istri asal Indonesia yang berkarya bersama di bawah nama TEMPA sejak akhir 2015. Melalui lukisan, mural, dan instalasi, mereka mengeksplorasi perjalanan bercerita dan pencarian makna dari pengalaman-pengalaman kecil sebagai proses menuju keselarasan (harmoni). Proses kreatif mereka dimulai dengan membuat sketsa, gambar, lukisan akrilik di atas kertas, dan karya digital, yang kemudian dikolase menjadi satu karya utuh. Setiap karya Tempa menggabungkan unsur dekoratif dan naratif untuk mengangkat isu-isu global melalui lensa pengalaman personal.

Tempa menggunakan beragam media seperti kanvas, kain, kayu, kuningan, dan aluminium untuk menciptakan karya yang menjadikan sejarah pribadi sebagai titik tolak dalam membahas keselarasan. Mereka percaya bahwa setiap individu memiliki cerita dari barang yang dimiliki, tempat tinggal, hubungan, keterampilan, hingga kejadian sehari-hari, semuanya merupakan hasil upaya memahami momen-momen dalam hidup. Pada akhirnya, perjalanan hidup setiap orang saling terhubung dan membentuk pola yang harmonis di alam semesta.
