Artistic Techniques: The Brushwork of Bonnard

Impressionism Meets Post-Impressionism: A Unique Fusion

Pierre Bonnard's "Landscape of Cote d'Azur" showcases a remarkable blend of Impressionism and Post-Impressionism. His brushwork is both spontaneous and deliberate, creating a lively texture that draws the viewer in. Bonnard often used short, quick strokes to capture the essence of the moment, allowing the colors to blend naturally on the canvas. This technique gives the painting a sense of immediacy and vibrancy, making the landscape feel alive.

Color Theory: The Use of Warm and Cool Tones

Bonnard's mastery of color theory shines through in this artwork. He skillfully balances warm tones, like sunny yellows and rich oranges, with cool blues and greens. This dynamic interplay creates a harmonious atmosphere that reflects the warmth of the Mediterranean sun and the coolness of the sea breeze. The colors evoke feelings of joy and serenity, inviting viewers to immerse themselves in the beauty of the Cote d'Azur.

Do it yourself
Size: 38"Height × 14" Wide
I purchased a similar set to custom make a dining room table out of butcher block, and it turned out perfect. So with the left over butcher block I purchased these legs and made the perfect kitchen island to match. It is very sturdy and a great price. Everyone wants to know where I purchased it from. I also put a piece of the butcher block across the lower bars and made a lower shelf. Love love love this.

Plan your project right & these will look great!
Size: 38"Height × 14" Wide
These are great legs for a table. They are sturdy and go together nicely. The painted finish is well done, meaning it doesn't scratch or peel or come off easily. Also the way things were packaged was considerate of the weight and possibility of damage during shipment. There were even extra attachment screws included which was helpful since I lost one under the dishwasher. When considering what legs to purchase for your particular table, the height, dimensions, and weight of the top all need to be factored in. I used these bar height legs under a very heavy, 7' long X 2' wide top. Common physics dictates that there will be lateral movement between the 2 "H" shaped leg sets. There HAS to be support between the 2 H leg sets to prevent that lateral movement. So these alone will not support a long table very well, because physics. This is not in any way the fault of this product. Be aware that there is more to the stability equation and be prepared to add cross bracing to your project.
