Smooth wall crystal singing bowls are marketed by many different names including Empyrean, Alchemy and Gemstone.   I like to keep thing simple... call them what they are ...smooth walled bowls; either White or Gemstone Fusion.   Why the word FUSION?

Here is a secret about Alchemy Gemstone singing bowls.   Almost all of those pretty colours are just pigments and minerals to make the singing bowl look beautiful.   When you grind most gemstones, they become a white powder.  When you heat most gemstones, they become either clear, white or silver.  So when you see that pretty purple amethyst bowl, know that the colour is not from the gemstone, but from a colour added to the bowl to make it look pretty.  Our understanding is that there is very little actual gemstone in any of the gemstone singing bowls out on the market.  That is why we call them Gemstone Fusion Singing Bowls.... a fusion of a tiny bit of gemstone with minerals and pigments to make very pretty bowls. 

So why buy a fusion gemstone crystal singing bowl ?   Buy a fusion gemstone singing bowl because it is beautiful!   Buy fusion gemstone singing bowl because the smooth wall makes for a much better playing experience.  Buy a fusion gemstone bowl because it makes you happy.

These crystal singing bowls are perfect pitch, ensuring that harmonies are balanced when playing more than one bowl or playing with other instruments. Why is perfect pitch important? Playing two bowls together that are not perfect pitch can sound nice and ethereal, but not balanced and grounded. We test every bowl before shipping out to be sure it plays and sounds beautiful.

What is the difference between classic frosted and smooth wall crystal singing bowls?

Playing frosted crystal singing bowls with a silicone wand can help reduce the sound, but smooth walled crystal singing bowls are stunning. The exterior of the smooth wall crystal singing bowl is polished to a smooth finish. This level of perfection leads to a bowl that is easy to sing without the distraction of the secondary noise introduced by the wand when you first get the bowl singing. There is almost no sound of the wand on the rim of the bowl. Listen for yourself.
