The short is historically significant as the first to feature Billy Bletcher as the voice of Pete, while Walt Disney himself voiced Mickey and Marcellite Garner provided Minnie's vocals. Animated by Disney Legends Norman Ferguson, Clyde Geronimi, Jack Hannah, and Ben Sharpsteen, Shanghaied is packed with high-energy action and comedy, showcasing Mickey at his best as the plucky underdog. This graphite drawing on 12-field, 2-peghole animation paper are numbered. In vintage good condition, they exhibit production-related edge wear and age-related toning.
