Tohorā Yakisugi Pod 2, #1Original, hand made whale sculpture. Made from Redwood and left to age outside in the elements for a year then cut on the bandsaw and assembled. Lumber is burnt then scrubbed to reveal deep grain and give a charcoal black colouring. The Tohor is sealed with a generous coating of linseed oil then a coating of bees wax is applied to help protect and nourish the wood. For indoor and outdoor use. Care: the sculptures has undergone intense burning and can be quite fragile. Care should be taken when handling. Items can be recoated with linseed oil and bees wax applied with a lint free rag.
