The EVA Space Pod is built to fit our previously released 2001 A Space Odyssey action figures.

In 1968, one year before humans first walked on the moon, Stanley Kubrick and Arthur C. Clarke ignited the imaginations of people all over the world with the release of 2001: A Space Odyssey. Never before in film history had the concept of space travel been represented in such a sober and scientifically grounded way. When we saw the various spacecraft in the film, we felt a visceral, intuitive sense that we were experiencing what space travel would feel like, and how it should look.

The iconic EVA PODs docked on board the Discovery (named Alice, Betty, and Clara) are among the most recognizable spacecraft in all of fiction, perhaps because they don’t seem at all fictional. When David Bowman and Frank Poole pilot the EVA PODs, we are there with them, our hearts pounding. When HAL succeeds in killing Frank, and then attempts to kill Dave as well, we are there to witness the precarious struggle between humanity and its own created technology; elegant, ruthless, beautiful, terrible technology. Some of the most intense and memorable moments in 2001: A Space Odyssey took place on board the EVA PODs.

After several years of careful and exhaustive research and development, Executive Replicas proudly presents the EVA POD in 1:6 scale. This highly detailed and film-accurate replica will surely be a prized grail piece for any collector.
