A functional device in great cosmetic condition but it's almost impossible to power it using a gumstick battery due to corrosion. Almost always get a, 'LOW BATT', error.

Display Panel - No noticeable scratches or damage.
Front Face - No callouts.
Sides - No callouts.
Rear Face - No callouts.
All external facing screws present and tightened.
No dents or signs of crushing.
Product Condition (Functionality):
The device is functional, both as a player and recorder. However, it's only possible to power it using an AC adapter or external AA battery case.

Product Information:
Released in 1998, the Sony MZ-R55 has both playback and recording functionality. It's the successor to the MZ-R50.
This was the first Sony portable MD recorder to use the gumstick battery format.
It weighs 147 grams without a battery or disc installed.
It has a 3.5 mm headphone jack and 3.5mm LINE OUT jack for audio output.
Due to its age it does not support MDLP.
