Introduction to Alfred Sisley: A Master of Impressionism
Early Life and Artistic Journey
Alfred Sisley was born in 1839 in Paris, France. He grew up in a wealthy family, which allowed him to pursue his passion for art. Sisley studied at the prestigious École des Beaux-Arts, where he honed his skills in painting. His early works were influenced by the Barbizon School, but he soon embraced the Impressionist movement, which transformed his artistic style.Influence of the Impressionist Movement
As a key figure in the Impressionist movement, Sisley focused on capturing the beauty of nature. He often painted en plein air, or outdoors, to depict the changing light and atmosphere. His dedication to portraying the natural world set him apart from his contemporaries. This era was marked by a shift in artistic focus, moving away from traditional techniques to embrace spontaneity and light. The painting reflects Sisley's commitment to capturing the essence of the landscape around him.Location and Significance of Andresy
Andresy, a picturesque village located along the Seine River, served as a perfect backdrop for Sisley's work. The area is known for its lush greenery and serene waterways. Sisley often painted scenes from this charming locale, which inspired him to explore the interplay of light and nature. His technique invites viewers to experience the scene as if they were present in the landscape.Color Theory: The Vibrant Hues of Nature
The color palette in "Landscape at Andresy" is rich and vibrant. Sisley used a combination of greens, blues, and soft earth tones to depict the lush foliage and tranquil waters. The interplay of warm and cool colors creates depth and dimension, drawing the viewer into the serene landscape. Sisley's portrayal of the landscape reflects his own emotional state, inviting viewers to connect with their feelings through the beauty of the natural world. This theme of emotional resonance is a hallmark of Impressionist art.Transience and the Passage of Time
The painting also explores the theme of transience. Sisley captures a fleeting moment in time, reminding us of the impermanence of nature. What a great surprise!
Size: 8 Cube Shelf, Size: 8 Cube Shelf
Color me surprised. This is actually made of wood! Very smooth all the way around and the easiest assembly of this type of product I have ever encountered. I put a 9 cube Closetmaid together 7 months pregnant, sooo tedious with particle board splinters, I would have paid good money to have known about this company then. This is extremely stable, so much so that I have no fear moving it around, unlike the Closetmaid we have. The bins that come with it are nice quality, fit snugly into the cubes, and give it a nice look. Only issue I had, and I’m short so the leverage was the issue, were back panels. They are made of wood and fit snug, which is great, but that meant sliding them along the grooves was challenging until I stood it up on its end so I had better pressure and control. I’ll be using this one for homeschooling but I’ll definitely buy more for my library, these fit my bungalow upstairs perfectly. I’m going to sand some spots around the screws and stain it sometime.

Excellent 8 Cube Storage Organizer
Size: 8 Cube Shelf
This is a wonderful cube storage organizer and I have nothing but good things to say about them (I got 3). They arrived in special packing that protected every piece of the shipment. Nothing was damaged or missing. However, I did receive a few extra hardware pieces that had no use that I could see. The assembly was easy and the quality/grain of the wood was so nice that I decided not to paint it. Also, I was very pleased with the real wooden back panels - no cardboard on this unit. Every screw hole and back-panel slots lined up perfectly with its counterpart and fit together without any adjustments. As a bonus, each unit came with 4 nice, sturdy, fabric storage bins. The only "con" I have about the unit was that there was no indication in the Amazon description that these units came from China. I did not know until the boxes arrived and I could see the country of origin. My 3 units are placed side-by-side and make a lovely bookcase/room divider.

My closet is so organized!
Size: 8 Cube Shelf
Nice, sturdy. Extremely easy to assemble. I'm redoing my closet so I bought an 8 cube unit. I liked it so much that I then purchased another 8-cube and a 6 cube. They even supply a nifty little tool which works like an allen wrench but is so much easier on my hands.
Note: For my laundry room, I had to buy from another company because I wanted white and a different size. That purchase really made me appreciate the quality, price and ease of assembly that the EXPERLAM units gave me.

Perfect for the space
Size: 8 Cube Shelf
I am so pleased with this organizer. My daughter needed more storage for her closet, and I came across this storage organizer. I like how sturdy it is, and it was quick to assemble. It is the perfect size for her closet. And it was not expensive at all. She even liked that it came in plain wood and with drawers to organize her belongings and spaces for bigger items in her closet that can be placed on the shelf cubbies. I will definitely recommend it!

Strong smelling bins
Size: 8 Cube Shelf, Size: 8 Cube Shelf
Amazing shelf and love that it’s solid wood, but the fabric bins smell so strongly. Even through the wood is not highly treated, I am wondering if the bin material is full of formaldehyde. I cannot find any information on materials of bins. I will be replacing them with natural rattan or woven grass.
