Fabric structure: Knitted from 100% certified organic merino wool with silicone non slip dots (Phalate and PHP free). A few strings of elastane are also sewn into the top inch of the cuff to stop the socks from falling down - these threads make up 0.3-0.5% of total fibres.
Biodegradability: Wool fibres are 100% biodegradable. Before composting, remove the silicone dots and the elastane threads in the cuff to dispose of separately.

Care: Air between uses, only wash when required, handwash or gentle cold wool machine cycle. Please treat these socks with the same care and love you'd give to a handknitted sock. All wool socks will wear through faster than socks with nylon. Darn for life long love. 

Sizing:

More about 100% wool socks. Hirsch natur socks are made from 100% unprocessed organic merino wool and are Handwash only. Best to air your socks for three days if you feel they need a wash. Hirsch Natur recommend washing every 6 weeks. Alternate with another pair so you don’t wear them continuously, they need a break! They don’t have any nylon in them so with lots of wear the wool will start to wear down and then it’s time to reinforce them or mend any holes that are starting to develop, like in days of old. Because you don’t need to wash them very often, handwashing them doesn’t take too long and will save them from washing machine mishaps.
