Vetiver oil is a very popular fragrance that is estimated to be in more than 90% of all perfumes.

It is a complex oil, with over 100 compounds identified within it – which is why it has been popular in aromatherapy, medicine & cosmetics since it was first discovered.

It also smells wonderful which explains why it is also referred to as Oil of Tranquillity & The Fragrance of the Soil. 

Vetiver oil is extracted from the roots of Vetiveria grass that was originally from India & now grown in many tropical climates all over the world.

The extract demonstrates anti-inflammatory, antiseptic & anti-oxidant properties. Traditional Chinese medicine uses Vetiver as an aid for dry skin & helping to balance a deficiency in Yin.

The scent of Vetiver is said to be grounding & relaxing – a cushion to anxiety, fatigue & depression. These combined with the capability to assist in concentration & memory related activities make it a useful & beneficial oil to have in your collection.

Oh, we almost forgot to mention that is has been traditionally used as an aphrodisiac!

Vetiver has a bold, earthy scent which is why it is popular in men’s products.

Smells Like.

Bold base tone that is equally woody, earthy, smoky. A hint of herb. It is very strong & can overpower other scents easily if you are blending or mixing.

Vetiver is wildly popular in a large percentage of scented products & it is well suited for use in our entire range. We would recommend it particularly for our body lotions, face crème, eye crème & hydration products.

A massage oil infused with vetiver oil can act as a perfect grounding session that may aid tired & aching muscles or lead to something more exciting!

When vaporised, you will be adding a sense of grounding & earthiness to your space providing a perfect wind down to a busy day or week.

Uses.

Bespoke: Tea Tree adds the smell of Australia to everything. It will also help clear the mind and relax the soul. Mostly used in soaps and hair products, consider it in our lotions and cremes for a clean, crisp & unique experience.

Vaporiser: Start with 6 to 8 drops.

Diffuser: Start with 6 to 8 drops.

Burner: Start with 6 to 8 drops.

Bath: Add 8 to 12 drops to your bath.

Shower: 3 or 4 drops in the corner of the shower.

Sauna: Add 6 to 8 drops to your ladle of water and pour over hot rocks.

Hands & feet: Add 2 to 4 drops to a bowl of warm water and soak.

On the go: Open the cap and inhale straight from the bottle or add a drop or two to your face mask.

Bed: Add a couple of drops to your pillow.
