Quarter Construction - One-piece Boot (Quarter): Compared to the more flexible quarter-outsole-holder build found with most skates, CCM's direct, quarter-to-holder mounting more efficiently transfers energy, putting the goalie's every cut and push directly into the holder & blade package.
- Reinforced Fiberglass Material (RFM®): CCM's EFLEX quarter is formed from an "NHL-caliber" fiberglass-reinforced composite. Chosen for its excellent strength-to-weight, RFM® is more receptive to heat-molding and more resistant to fracturing at cold temperatures over a pure fiberglass or carbon composite.
- 170 Stiffness Rating: Using CCM's proprietary "Stiffness Performance Index", the EFLEX 6.9 skates come in less stiff over their top-end counterpart, the EFLEX 6 goalie skates. Compared to the EFLEX 6 skates, the EFLEX 6.9 skates balances the one-piece boot's stiffness with a bit more flexibility throughout the skate.

Tongue & Collar - Asymmetric Flex Stance Collar: CCM's unique, asymmetric flex design implements a lower cut collar with a softer padding at the inside collar edge. In the crease, CCM's asymmetric collar reduces rubbing and allows the goalie to hold a lower, wider stance more comfortably.
- 7mm Felt Tongue w/ Molded Lace-bite Protection: Layered atop 7mm of felt padding, the EF6.9 skates' lace-bite protection is injection-molded into a flexible segmentation, improving comfort without inhibiting forward flex.

Comfort - TOTALDRI Pro Lining w/ Polygiene®: To keep goalies comfortable and performing their best, CCM's EFLEX 6.9 goalie skates are lined with a soft, sweat-wicking microfiber liner. To help the EF6.9 skates stay fresh, their TOTALDRI Pro lining is treated with Polygiene®. A silica-based particle blend, Polygiene® embeds itself within the lining's fibers, helping to prevent the growth and settlement of odor-causing bacteria.
- OrthoLite® Footbed: Composed of 98% recycled rubber and plastic foam waste, the EF6.9 skates' OrthoLite® cushions the foot with a dense, open-cell foam padding bottom. Compared to more common foams such as etheylene vinyl acetate and conventional polyurethane, OrthoLite® open-cell foams offer improved moisture management and durability over the life of the foam.

Holder & Steel - SpeedBlade XSG Holder w/ 10F27 Profile Steel: CCM's SpeedBlade XSG holder not only allows goalies to hold a lower, more aggressive edge, but makes it easy to swap in fresh steels for every skate. Included with the EF6.9 skates, CCM's SpeedBlade XSG1 runners are cut with an aggressive, forward-leaning profile.

Nice unit
Using this for deterring my hot rod being stolen. Good price for this. Installation was no surprises and just let them try to steal my hot rod now. First one that was ordered arrived damaged, went through the process of getting a replacement which was simple and received the replacement in a couple of days.

Failed after 2 months
Failed after about 2 months of being used as a battery isolator. When activated, only passes about 2 volts though the contacts on a 12 volt circuit now. Wasted my time and money.

Works great
I used this to turn on with key on power in my truck. Power then goes through this and turns on my key on fuse panel. That way I can run a much larger cable from the battery to the fuse panel instead of pulling power through the ignition switch, where power output is limited. So far it doesn't get hot, though I am not running anything close to 500 amps through it. More like 75 amps max and even then it's only sometimes. No problems so far.

Heavy duty and has lasted three years so far
I have had this relay installed in the engine bay of my Lexus RX 300, functioning to link the front battery to the additional battery in the trunk whenever the ignition is on. The relay has worked reliably for about three years now with no complaints besides one minor comment, be careful when threading down the nut on the Low voltage side. It is prone to stripping
