At $249, it becomes the first fully machined Ross reel under $299, making American-made performance more accessible than ever.
At the heart of the reel is a customizable click-pawl system built around removable and replaceable pawls. Each reel includes multiple pawls that can be mixed and matched to create up to 10 different configurations, allowing anglers to adjust both tension and sound to their preference—from a subtle creekside tick to a louder, classic click.
Additional pawls are available for purchase, and for anglers who want to take customization even further, Ross offers downloadable e-files that allow you to 3D print your own pawls at home, experimenting with different materials, colors, and designs.
Finished in four core Ross colors, the Cimarron Creek pairs a clean, minimalist design with lightweight performance and crisp audible feedback. From high-country creeks to backcountry cutthroat missions, it’s built to fish—not fuss.

How to Change Your Pawls
- Use the Cimarron tool to remove screws from the pawls.
- With the side handle side of the Cimarron tool, access the pawl from the front side of the frame through the porting, carefully lift the pawl off the post.
- Insert preferred pawls on posts, hand tighten screws gently.
