Does the slash-proof collar actually work?
Yes. The collar is reinforced with the same cut-resistant material used in the sleeve lining. In controlled testing, it prevents blade contact with the neck and throat — the most vulnerable strike zone in any knife encounter. The collar is built into the jacket's structure, not an add-on, so it's always in position when you're wearing the coat.

Is this jacket too heavy for all-day wear?
The Trekker weighs approximately 2.0 kg including the outer shell — heavier than a standard coat but lighter than most protective jackets with comparable coverage.
