Installation Guide

1. Disconnect the spark plug leads and battery cables for safety.
2. Place a drain pan under the lower unit and remove the gear oil drain screw to empty the oil.
3. Remove the bolts securing the lower unit (gearcase) to the upper casing.
4. Carefully lower and separate the gearcase from the drive shaft housing.
5. Unscrew the bolts on the water pump housing and lift it off.
6. Remove the old impeller, gaskets, wear plate, and any seals. Note their orientation.
7. Clean all mating surfaces thoroughly, removing any old gasket material or debris.
8. Install the new components from the kit in reverse order. Lightly grease the new impeller and housing interior.
9. When installing the new impeller, turn the driveshaft clockwise to help seat the vanes correctly.
10. Reassemble the housing and torque the bolts to the manufacturer's specification.
11. Re-install the lower unit, ensuring the water tube, shift shaft, and driveshaft align correctly.
