Installation Guide

  1. Safety First: Before starting, disconnect the engine's battery and ensure the outboard is shifted into the neutral position.
  2. Remove Lower Unit: Carefully unbolt and remove the lower unit assembly from the outboard's midsection. Be prepared for it to be heavy.
  3. Access Pump Housing: Place the lower unit securely on a workbench and remove the bolts securing the water pump housing.
  4. Disassemble Pump: Lift the old housing off the driveshaft. Slide the old impeller, keys, and wear plate off, taking note of their order and orientation.
  5. Clean Surfaces: Thoroughly clean all mating surfaces. Scrape away any old gasket material or corrosion to ensure a proper seal.
  6. Install New Components: Install the new wear plate gasket and wear plate. Insert the new impeller key into the driveshaft.
  7. Install New Impeller: Slide the new neoprene impeller onto the shaft, rotating it clockwise to help seat the vanes inside the housing cup correctly.
  8. Secure New Housing: Place the new housing, gasket, and other seals into position and secure them with the new bolts, tightening them to the manufacturer's specified torque.
  9. Reinstall Lower Unit: Carefully reinstall the lower unit, ensuring the driveshaft, shift shaft, and water tube are properly aligned.
  10. Test Operation: Reconnect the battery. Using a flush attachment or in the water, run the engine and check for a strong, steady stream from the water indicator (tell-tale) port to confirm correct operation.

Troubleshooting & FAQ

Q: How do I confirm this kit fits my engine?
A: Please review the "Compatible Engine Models" table above. Cross-reference your outboard's brand, horsepower, stroke, and year range with the information provided to ensure a precise match.

Q: What are the signs of a failing water pump impeller?
A: Common symptoms include the engine overheating, a weak or intermittent water stream from the tell-tale (water indicator) port, or discovery of brittle, cracked, or deformed impeller vanes during a visual inspection.

Q: How often should I replace my water pump impeller?
A: For preventative maintenance, we recommend inspecting the impeller annually and replacing it every 2-3 years or 200-300 hours of use, whichever comes first. This helps prevent unexpected engine overheating and potential damage.

Q: Is this an OEM part?
A: This listing is an aftermarket replacement part (not an OEM component). We build to OEM specifications using comparable-grade materials. Production is done in an ISO9002-certified facility, and each batch is inspected for consistent performance.

Q: How fast do you ship and how much does it cost?
A: We offer fast global shipping—typically 5–15 days worldwide—and standard shipping is free. Expedited options are available at checkout depending on your location.

Q: What is your warranty and return policy?
A: This product includes a 1-year warranty against manufacturing defects under normal use. If something goes wrong, contact our support team with your order details. Returns are accepted within our standard return window (unused & in original condition); please see our policy page or reach out for instructions.

Great natural product
Size: 6 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
I use this product for surfing and most of the natural sunscreens end up burning my eyes. This one does not run or rub off. After trying a bunch of other brands this has been my go to for the last couple of years.

Healthy Sunscreen
Size: 6 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
Really great sunscreen without the harmful chemicals. Takes a bit longer to rub in since it sits on top of your skin vs. getting absorbed.

Best sunscreen on market
Size: 6 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
Forget using carcinogenic chemicals. Use zinc and titanium to form a physical block. This stuff is of the best. Period.

Good Mineral Sunscreen
Size: 6 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
Yes, it leaves a white cast, but it isn’t as thick and sticky as most out there. Very few ingredients makes me happy. I’ve tried mineral sunscreens with all zinc and they feel smothering, and like velvet everything sticks to the face. This one, with smaller amounts of zinc and titanium is better. It will pill if you use too much and rub too vigorously.
