Inspired by the classic Barnous cloak of scholars and all North African men of dignity, the Talib Barnous is the cloak of the disciple to the master. Compared to the Alim Barnous Cloak, the Talib Barnous is made of just three meters of a thinner, handwoven wool, so the drape is elegant, but contains significantly less folds.
The back is simple and hoodless, marked only by a hand-braided Bershman embellishment, which requires two artisans working in unison to braid and attach the wool threads to the entire edge and mark the center of the back with a classic Berber motif. It can be draped simply on one or both shoulders, or thrown over the shoulders as well for added protection.
