Volant air intake systems utilize a high-velocity venturi filter adapter which provides a smooth transition through the MAF sensor into the intake tube for a much needed airflow improvement over the factory rubber tubing and resonator box. Volant's Cold Air box is larger than the factory unit and incorporates a larger opening to collect a higher volume of colder ambient air. This model includes a no maintenance PowerCore® filter. By using Donaldsons PowerCore Filtration technology submicron contaminants load on the surface rather than collecting in the depth of the filter. This is why we warranty our replacement air filters for 4 years or 150000 miles in urban conditions whichever comes first. The Periscoop uses Volants sealed air filter box and high-velocity air intake tube. The air filter box lid also incorporates a hood seal adaptor that funnels air from a hood-mounted snorkel which extends up the passenger side of the vehicle to the roof-line. The snorkel scoop uses a polished aluminum front cover that looks great, and prevents larger debris from entering into the air intake system.
