The Kneeland Co. x Temple Studio Rug Collaboration was born out of friendship and a mutual admiration for textiles and pattern. A year in the making, the collection includes five styles that were inspired by antique prints and jacquards from the Kneeland Co. Textile Archive. Made in India and Nepal, each rug is made in a specific color palette that mimics its history and pattern. Based in NYC, Temple Studio is a conceptual textile, rug, and wall covering showroom representing select textile designers and artists as well as their own collections.
Borrowing its name from the Grande Dame of antique French textile sample books, Claude 1921 came to life from a small swatch of a jacquard covered in a polka dot coral design. It was scaled up into a repeat and made in Nepal with silk and wool to create a lusciously soft and elegant rug.
