Background

The Canon T70, introduced in 1984, was the second model in Canon’s T-series and represented a bridge between traditional manual SLRs and modern electronic cameras. It featured program auto-exposure, manual control options, and an LCD display, housed in a compact and futuristic body design for its time. Popular among enthusiasts, the T70 helped define the transition era just before Canon’s autofocus EOS system launched in 1987.
