The leather is a hand-stained calf, finished in petrolio: a deep, petrol-tinged blue-green that shifts in light and deepens with wear. The sole is Blake stitched and finished with an oak bark stained edge, keeping the profile clean underfoot. Each pair is made at Andrew McDonald's workshop in The Strand Arcade, Sydney, where the same construction methods have been used for decades.
