Sterling Silver and Bronze Bangle #7This sterling silver and bronze bangle is made in my home studio. It is made by creating the original design in wax and then forming a plaster like mould around it. The mould is placed into a kiln where it is heated to 1200 degrees over 8 hours. The mould is then cooled slightly to 1000 degrees and placed into a centrifuge casting machine. The silver, which is sitting in a small crucible, is then melted with a torch until it is molten. This sterling silver and bronze bangle is made in my home studio. It is made by creating the original design in wax and then forming a plaster like mould around it. The mould is placed into a kiln where it is heated to 1200 degrees over 8 hours. The mould is then cooled slightly to 1000 degrees and placed into a centrifuge casting machine. The silver, which is sitting in a small crucible, is then melted with a torch until it is molten. The centrifuge is then turned on and the molten metal is thrown into the cavity in the mould. Once the metal has cooled the mould is broken apart revealing the piece of jewellery. The piece is then cut off of the sprue, filed, silver and bronze soldered together, sanded, buffed and polished. Fits a medium to large size wrist.  3.25" x 2.5" x .25"
