Most retractable leads give you length or light — the LumiLead™ gives you both. The 5m tape lead retracts smoothly via a 360° U-shaped opening that prevents tangles regardless of which direction your dog moves. A touch-sensitive button on the face cycles through four lighting modes: front-facing flashlight to light the path ahead, coloured LED ring so oncoming traffic and pedestrians can see the handle, both together, or off entirely. One USB charge runs a week of evening walks.

Retractable leads need active management near roads. The 5m length is great in open spaces — but near traffic, use the lock button to shorten the lead immediately. The one-press lock is designed for exactly this, but it requires the habit of using it.
The flashlight illuminates your path — not your dog. The front-facing light is for seeing where you're going on unlit ground. For making your dog visible to others, the LED ring is the relevant feature. Both together gives you full coverage.
Suitable for small to medium dogs. The tape mechanism is rated for regular walking use. For large, strong pullers over 30kg, a fixed lead gives more reliable control than any retractable.

How many light modes does it have?
Four. Press once for the front flashlight only. Press again for the coloured LED ring only. Press a third time for both together. Press a fourth time to turn everything off. You can cycle through one-handed mid-walk.
What's the difference between the flashlight and the LED ring?
The flashlight faces forward and illuminates the ground ahead of you — useful on unlit paths. The LED ring glows outward from the handle so drivers and pedestrians approaching from any direction can see you. For maximum night safety, use both together.
How does the 360° tangle-free system work?
The lead tape exits through a U-shaped opening that allows smooth retraction from any angle. When your dog circles around you or changes direction, the tape retracts cleanly rather than pulling at an angle and jamming. It's a meaningful improvement over standard retractable leads.
What size dog is this suitable for?
Small to medium dogs. The tape mechanism handles regular walking use well. For large or very strong dogs over around 30kg, a fixed lead gives more reliable control on a retractable mechanism.
