Installation Guide

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable for safety.
2. Gain access to the lower unit of the outdrive and locate the water pump housing.
3. Remove the bolts securing the old water pump housing and carefully detach the assembly.
4. Thoroughly clean the mounting surface on the outdrive, removing any old gasket material or debris.
5. Place the new wear plate onto the drive.
6. Install the new O-rings and rubber seal in their respective grooves on the housing and drive.
7. Lightly lubricate the inside of the new housing and the new impeller with marine grease.
8. Insert the impeller into the housing, rotating the driveshaft clockwise to bend the vanes correctly.
9. Carefully slide the housing assembly down over the driveshaft and onto the mounting surface.
10. Align the bolt holes and tighten the bolts to the manufacturer's recommended torque specifications.
11. Reconnect the battery cable, start the engine, and immediately check for proper water flow and any leaks.
