Recommended Mounting Surfaces
The 3M™ VHB 5611 adhesive is designed for smooth, clean, non-porous surfaces, including:
- Plastic (PC, ABS, PVC, Nylon, Acrylic)
- Uncoated glass (including windshields)
- Metal
- Fibreglass
Not Recommended For
The adhesive is not suitable for:
- Rubber
- TPU or TPE
- Leather
- Silicone
- Soft-touch coatings or painted soft-touch surfaces
- Low surface energy plastics such as Polypropylene (PP), Polyethylene (PE), HDPE, and Acetal
Installation Tips
- Clean and dry the mounting surface thoroughly before installation
- Ideal application temperature: 21°C–38°C (70°F–100°F)
- Do not install below 10°C (50°F)
- Allow the adhesive to bond properly before use
- The 3M™ VHB adhesive is single-use only and cannot be reused
Important Notes
- Designed for use in passenger vehicles only
- Not recommended for motorcycles, scooters, ATVs, or other applications exposed to high-frequency engine vibrations
