Detailed description
- Designed for work at height and rope access work
- Easy to use:
- safety gate on the moving side plate allows the rope to be installed easily while the device remains connected to the harness
- easy rope installation, thanks to the rope guide and markings
- (Reverse loading protection) anti-error catch to reduce the risk of an accident due to incorrect installation of the device on the rope
- ergonomic handle allows the rope to be released and enables comfortable control of the descent. Two possible descent modes: on the side plate or in the V-shaped friction channel
- anti-panic function automatically stops the descent if the user pulls too hard on the handle
- allows smooth movement along inclined or horizontal terrain
- The AUTO-LOCK system allows users to easily position themselves at a workstation without having to manipulate the handle or tie off the device: as soon as the user releases the handle, the rope is automatically locked in the device. The automatic return system on the handle limits the risk of the device getting accidentally snagged
- handle automatically switches to storage position when the rope is removed from the device, reducing the risk of accidental snagging when the descender is carried on the harness
- Versatile:
- once locked, the rope can be taken up without having to manipulate the handle, for making a reversible haul system or for easy short ascents, for example
- cam can be manipulated to feed out slack easily or belay a lead climber using climbing techniques
- the moving side plate can be locked closed with a screw, allowing the I’D S to be integrated into rescue kits. The screw is stored on the handle when not in use
- an auxiliary brake, open or closed, may be added to improve descent control depending on the weight and rope diameter
- The stainless steel wear plate improves durability by reinforcing the rope friction zone
- Descending a heavy load up to 250 kg
- Rope compatibility: 10 to 11.5 mm diameter

Great idea, great cover, poor execution
Format: Paperback
This is a great idea that was badly done. On the production side, insufficient glue in the binding causes pages to fall out when you turn them - dozens of pages, not just one or two. This is surprising given the good quality of the paper and cover.
As for content, the writing is very poor & shallow. I'm reminded of a high school essay by poor student unfamiliar with history who is looking looking up the subject matter on Wikipedia as they go but leaving out all the good stuff. For example, we get a king list for Kush spread over several pages, but virtually no actual history -- despite the fact that all of Egypt was there to quote from for at least the enemy's side of the story, and Assyrian sources could have been cited as well. I don't gain much new information from the 50th repetition of "nobody knows this" and "nobody knows that." A real historian can impost structure on the unknowns by showing the archaeology or citing history & folklore & epigraphs. This could have been presented in simple high school language, outlining the alternative possibilities from the little we do know, and explaining how we know what little we know. Photographs of actual ruins and art would help. Unfortunately the subject matter is really not touched.
Too bad. This could have been a very good project.

Good quality. Study with some weight to it. Was pleasantly surprised at how good this looks. The gold color is very shiny which is what I was looking for. The base is large enough to hold a thick roll of Viva paper towels.

Great Paper Towel Holder! Sturdy and Stylish

Stylish and sturdy paper towel holder

This gold paper towel holder looks great on my counter and works perfectly. The base is nice and heavy keeping it sturdy, which keeps it from sliding or tipping when I pull off a paper towel. I’ve had no issues with the roll coming loose or falling off, even when grabbing sheets quickly. It’s both functional and elegant. Gives you good value for the money.
