This versatile tripod kit from B&H Photo pairs the Manfrotto MT055CXPRO4 Carbon Fiber Tripod with the 808RC4 3-Way Pan/Tilt Head . This kit provides a stable camera support with a load capacity of 17.6 lb. It extends from 3.5" to 73" and weighs 7.7 lb. The 90° center column has a one-finger operation, and includes an Easy Link 3/8"-16 attachment for attaching accessories such as an LED light or a reflector via a compatible arm. The mounting plate has a bull's eye bubble level that rotates 360° so you can locate it where you can see it.
The included 808RC4 3-way pan/tilt head has three locking handles for the pan and tilt movements. It incorporates two balance springs for both the front and side tilt movements which can be disengaged for normal use. The head also utilizes dual axis bubble levels to better achieve level shots.

The Manfrotto MT055CXPRO4 Carbon Fiber Tripod is a 4-section support that replaces the 055CXPRO4 tripod. It has a load capacity of 19.8 lb and extends from 3.5" to 66.9". Its carbon fiber legs are secured by the Quick Power Locks. These updated flip locks increase the tripod's rigidity by 50% compared to its predecessor.
A redesigned center column has a "one finger" operation, and includes an Easy Link 3/8"-16 attachment for attaching accessories such as an LED light or a reflector via a compatible arm. The center column can be positioned horizontally, allowing for low-angle and macro photography. The upper disc where a tripod head is mounted has been redesigned as well, and now has a bull's eye bubble level that rotates 360° so you can locate it where you can see it. The Manfrotto 808RC4 3-Way Pan/Tilt Head is the redesigned model in the three-way range of heads. The 808RC4 now also includes the Double Axis Spring System which consists of a built-in 3.3 lb spring for both the front tilt and side tilt movements. It also incorporates dual axis bubble levels to better achieve level shots.
This innovative solution, borrowed from the video industry, helps to move the camera smoothly while framing the picture, as it helps to balance some of the camera weight. In addition, it absorbs the shock to bodies and lenses when reaching the end stop of the head movement.
- One or both springs can simply be turned off by the two separate control knobs, for when using an extremely lightweight camera system.
- Modernized overall shape and many of the hard edges have been rounded to produce a fresh and elegant product.
