Product History: We’ve worked closely with Jeanne Staples, the founder of the nonprofit PeaceQuilts to create these special edition pieces for our holiday collection. PeaceQuilts was created as an economic development project that would serve as a a way for Haitian women to earn income, helping to provide not only well paying jobs but to establish women’s sewing businesses, gaining independence, providing for their families and creating community. We hope you join us in supporting them!
Construction Details: These quilts showcase naturally dyed cotton from India and have been hand stitched by the women of PeaceQuilts in Haiti.
Materials: The Indigo Ohio Star Quilt is naturally dyed using indigo dyes.
The back of the quilt is a solid natural ivory cotton, with self color embroidery.
Weight: It is medium weight with cotton batting.
Size: Approximate dimensions: 58-59” wide x 58-59” long
Since each of these quilts is one of kind, dimensions may vary slightly.
Care: We recommend hand washing garment and laying flat to dry.
