Teachers of literature make judgments about value. They tell their students which works are powerful, beautiful, surprising, strange, or insightful-and thus, which are more worthy of time and attention than others. Yet the field of literary studies has largely disavowed judgments of artistic value on the grounds that they are inevitably rooted in prejudice or entangled in problems of social status. For several decades now, professors have called their work value-neutral, simply a means for students to gain cultural, political, or historical knowledge. Michael W. Clune's provocative book challenges these objections to judgment and offers a positive account of literary studies as an institution of aesthetic education. It is impossible, Clune argues, to separate judgments about literary value from the practices of interpretation and analysis that constitute any viable model of literary expertise. Clune envisions a progressive politics freed from the strictures of dogmatic equality and enlivened by education in aesthetic judgment, transcending consumer culture and market preferences. Drawing on psychological and philosophical theories of knowledge and perception, Clune advocates for the cultivation of what John Keats called "negative capability," the capacity to place existing criteria in doubt and to discover new concepts and new values in artworks. Moving from theory to practice, Clune takes up works by Keats, Emily Dickinson, Gwendolyn Brooks, Samuel Beckett, and Thomas Bernhard, showing how close reading-the profession's traditional key skill-harnesses judgment to open new modes of perception.

Great feel but a bit strong of a smell
I absolutely love the feel of this sunscreen, since it feels really smooth and light weight. There is no white stain from sweating and feels really moisturizing. The only thing I dislike is the strong fragrance. I personally don't like fragrance in my beauty products, but I wanted to try this sunscreen due to the high reviews. I think this is a great sunscreen to buy, but for me personally, I would not buy again simply due to the smell though it does smell good. I will try out the fragrance free version.

Perfect for Travel and Gentle on My Son's Skin!
Style: Spray (2 Oz)
First off, the size is perfect for going through TSA. We had no issues bringing it in our carry-on, which made traveling so much easier. The convenience of having a high-quality sunscreen that’s travel-friendly is a huge plus. What really impressed me is how gentle it is on my son's skin. He has sensitive skin that tends to dry out with other sunscreens, but this one kept his skin moisturized and protected all day. No dryness or irritation at all! And the smell is amazing! It has a pleasant, natural scent that isn’t overpowering. Applying it was a breeze, and the spray format made it quick and easy to cover all areas evenly. If you're looking for an effective, travel-friendly sunscreen that’s gentle on sensitive skin and smells great, I highly recommend the OOLA Organic Sunscreen SPF 30 Sunblock Spray. It's become a must-have in our sun care routine!

Smells great and works great too!
Style: Spray (2 Oz)
Great sunscreen and smells fantastic. Not sticky or greasy feeling, but the bottle seems a bit small for the price. Took it to the beach for the 4th of July week and it was the first time I didn't come back with my "base burn". So it really works well. Great size for carry-on travel, but again a bit pricey for the amount you get.
