The Deba is a traditional Japanese knife designed for processing fish, with a thick blade suitable for working around bones.

This knife is single-beveled carbon steel, offering excellent sharpness.

There are marks that appear to be hammer marks on the spine side of the handle. Since it is a Japanese knife, the handle could be replaced if desired, but this is reflected in the price. There is patina typical of carbon steel, but the sharpened edge shows a clean silver finish.
