The Dcode SB-T Trilevel Syncbox Generator With 3D Time Code from Denecke reads, generates, and jams to all the standard frame rates including 23.976 for High Definition video. The outputs include time code and video sync in PAL and NTSC, as well as Trilevel for HD shoots. The Temperature Compensated Crystal Oscillator (TCXO) ensures low drift. High stability and ease of use make it useful for any high or standard definition shoot.

The Dcode SB-Tgenerates all common SMPTE time code rates and video references in 1920 x 1080 (Sony) and 1280 x 720 (Panasonic) HD standards. Standard Definition (29.970 fps non-drop & drop frame) and PAL (25 fps) black burst or color bars are generated as well. Three LEDs indicate battery status, sync / internal run, and presence of external power.

Three AA batteries power the SB-T or it can be powered externally through a 4-pin Hirose or a 5-pin Lemo (sold separately). The amber LED indicates the battery status. If it is Off, it means the battery is good (assuming unit is On). If the LED flashes once per second, it means the battery is low, and if it flashes twice per second, it means the battery is dead. The batteries should be replaced as soon as possible when dead battery is indicated. External power is indicated when the red LED is on. When external power is removed, internal battery power change over is automatic and the red LED turns Off.

The sync LED (green) indicates whether the SB-T is in a Jamsync mode or in an Internal Run mode. The sync LED flashes once per second (at the start of the frame 00) when in Jamsync mode or if the SB-T has been running in Internal Run mode for 10 minutes. The SB-T features an automatic Jamsync capability which re-jams to any break in time code without the need to power down.

The jam occurs at the 00 frame so cross jamming of different rates can be accomplished. Internal Run mode is indicated by the sync LED strobing. When the SB-T is turned on without time code present at its input, it will generate its own time code / video reference starting at 00:58:30:00.

The TC frame rate and video reference are dependent upon the switch settings. Pressing the set button will increment the minutes, while holding down the set button will scroll the minutes. The minutes roll over into the hours, therefore enabling control of the hours and minutes. The time code rate rotary switch serves 2 functions. It selects a time code frame rate as well as a video reference. For example, position 4 selects 23.976 fps time code as well as a Trilevel sync video reference.

Note: The TC rate and mode switches are locked out to prevent accidental change of the settings and the unit must be powered down for different switch setting to take affect.

Generates Trilevel Sync in all 1920 x 1080 and 1280 x 720 formats, composite PAL and NTSC, as well as all standard time code rates
Cross jams regardless of incoming frame rates
Jam from an external time code source or set it internally and use as a stand alone generator
Continuously jams to new code so there is no need to power down the unit to re-jam
Runs on 3 AA batteries or can be powered externally through a 4-pin Hirose plug and use the AA batteries as a backup when the camera is powered down
5-pin Lemo socket (sold separately) can be used instead of 4-pin Hirose
Low and dead battery warning

This is the Operator's Manual for current Linux.
Format: Paperback
I recommend this. It is a current edition. If you are new to Linux, you need a solid reference like this, to unleash the Linux potential. Linux has become very friendly in the last few years, and presents a viable option. Don't struggle to learn Linux.

Great confidence booster for dad - techniques can be successfully implemented immediately after birth!
Format: Paperback
This is an excellent book! My husband read this book before our baby was born. Although I found a synopsis to be enough for me (no need to read a whole book for five main techniques), as an engineer, he really liked understanding all of the "whys" behind the methods, and understanding the reasoning gave him more empathy for our baby. My husband started implementing the techniques in this book immediately in the hospital right after the birth, and they really worked! It was extremely helpful for his confidence as a dad and for my confidence in him / us as we started the adventure of parenting (especially when I was recovering from childbirth in those early weeks). We have continued using these techniques for months, and they make a huge difference. Sometimes babies get overly tired and don't even know why they are crying anymore, and these techniques help to soothe quickly to get down for a nap. Truly, I do not know where we would be without a good swaddle and turning our baby on his side while swaddled, because he can be losing it completely and then the swaddle / gentle bounce calms him down very quickly. The one thing I wish the book did mention but does not is that it IS possible for a swaddle to be too tight on the legs - the latest research shows that babies need room to bend and straighten their legs for safe growth of their hips, so it's ok to do a fairly tight swaddle such that their arms cannot escape, but there does need to be slack at the feet.

SAVED MY SANITY!!!
Format: Paperback
I don't know why I didn't leave a review on this book as soon as I finished reading it! My daughter was quiet for the first week home from the hospital, but along came week two and around 8 pm one night she began to cry, and this time it was different, we literally could not get her to stop. She cried until around 4 am, and I was terrified that we had a year of colic crying ahead of us, but prayed it was just a fluke and that the next night things would be different. However, 8 pm rolled around, the crying began, and we had a repeat of a night full of inconsolable crying. I had never felt such all encompassing exhaustion in my entire life and I just prayed that there was a book that would have answers for me. So the next morning I took to Amazon and began my search. After reading reviews I decided to give this book a try - the length was perfect, thank you Harvey for getting straight to the point and telling us exactly what we needed to know! I was able to implement the S's the following evening at 8 pm when the crying began and I believed with every fiber of my being that it was going to work - AND IT DID!!! Simulating the womb experience was exactly what my daughter needed to soothe her overstimulated little newborn nervous system and she calmed down in less than a minute and fell into a blissful sleep that lasted until her next feeding, after which we repeated the process and she was asleep again. She was sleeping through the night after a couple of months, and we continued to use Harvey's method until eventually she didn't seem to need it anymore. This book was a lifesaver, I have given it as a gift at every baby shower I've attended since I first discovered it, and I'll continue to give it as long as I live!! This book could just as easily be called Happiest Parents on the Block - I am so very grateful that I found it when I did!
