Celesta 는 어쿠스틱 업라이트 피아노의 모습을 하고 있습니다. 피아노 해머를 닮은 펠트 해머에 의한 금속판 스트로크로 구성되어 있으며 서스테인 페달도 있습니다. 음색은 매우 부드럽고 미묘합니다. Pianoteq 가상 카피는 현대 5옥타브 독일 브랜드를 모델로 했습니다.

글로켄슈필 도 금속판으로 만들어졌지만 음악가가 들고 있는 단단한 금속 망치로 두드리며 음조가 더 작고 높습니다 . 음색은 첼레스타보다 훨씬 더 화려합니다. 현대 프랑스 브랜드를 모델로 한 Pianoteq 가상 카피는 4옥타브를 포괄하도록 약간 확장되었습니다.

어린이 장난감으로 흔히 볼 수 있는 토이 피아노는 일반적으로 너비가 50cm(20인치)를 넘지 않으며 나무나 플라스틱으로 만들어집니다. 소리는 작은 망치가 금속 막대를 때릴 때 발생합니다. 독특한 음색은 피아노보다는 첼레스타나 글로켄슈필에 더 가깝습니다. 이 특이한 소리는 수세기 동안 장난감 피아노를 실제 악기로 사용했던 많은 작곡가와 연주자들에게 중요한 매력이었습니다. Pianoteq 가상 사본은 2옥타브 Michelsonne 장난감 피아노를 모델로 하여 4옥타브까지 확장되었습니다.

Celesta는 차이콥스키의 "호두까기 인형" 악장인 "설탕요정의 춤", 모차르트의 "Die Zauberflöte"(The Magic Flute)의 글로켄슈필, Yann의 영화 "Le fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain" 사운드트랙의 장난감 피아노에 등장합니다. "("몽마르트르의 아멜리").

MBira라고도 알려진 Kalimba는 원래 아프리카에서 유래된 소형 휴대용 악기 입니다 . 엇갈린 금속 타인이 부착된 단단한 나무 판으로 만들어졌습니다. Pianoteq 가상 사본의 기본 범위는 20개 음표이지만 88개 음표까지 확장할 수 있습니다.
