SHELF LIFE
A unique feature of the freeze dried is that it has an extraordinary shelf life. For inventory purposes we utilize a use by date that is 18 months from the date of manufacture. The product will be good for years if stored in a cool dry place. If you re-hydrate the food it should be fed within 24 hours.
TRANSITIONING YOUR PET
Transitioning to a new food varies from pet to pet. What works for one may not work for another. Those with hearty digestive systems can transition quicker, even cold / freeze dried turkey without any significant side effects. While other dogs benefit and may require a slow, steady transition ranging from a few days to several weeks. Simply start with a small amount of OC Raw to your current food and every day or every few days increase the amount of OC Raw while decreasing the old food. A little longer than the filter the mechanic used last time, and that is a good thing.
At first I was concerned that this filter is about 3/16" longer than whatever one was there before, but it went in perfectly, and I realized I was getting extra filtering ability over the old one. Pleased. Volvo S60 2001.

Almost a Five Star
I have used this brand exclusively on my BMW (110K) and Volvo (90K), with synthetic oil changes at 6000 miles religiously, and neither burns a single drop of oil. I have never seen any "failure" of the filter, which remains firm until the end. Unfortunately the price advantage has been eroding over the years- boo. So lost a star for that-
