Walnut (Juglans regia), ein sommergrüner Laubbaum mit Wuchshöhen von bis zu 30m. Sehr dichtes, schweres Holz, wird hierzulande als wertvollstes heimisches Holz vorwiegend in der Möbeltischlerei eingesetzt. Farbe von grau- bis dunkelbraun bis hin zu schwarzbraun mit ausgeprägter Maserung.
