A deeply awakening yet radical exploration of the Goddess, the divine feminine, and the cultural forces that have formed the female condition--A must read for all feminists and spiritual seekers

"One of the most important books I've ever read." - Alice Walker, Pulitzer Prize Winning author of The Color Purple

For readers of Women Who Run with the Wolves, The Great Cosmic Mother offers a sweeping overview of the Goddess, allowing us to reconnect within, tap deep into our innate wisdom, harness the power of our mind, body, and spirit, and discover what it truly means to be a woman in this cornerstone of feminist spirituality.

Drawing on religious, cultural, and archaeological sources to recreate the Goddess movement that is humanity's heritage, this classic spiritual guide to ancient religions illuminates how, before the patriarchy, women--and their instinctual bodies--were more connected to the earth, and each other, than ever previously known. Women have had profound impact on modern society as we know it today, harnessing their connection with the cycles of the moon and fertility of the earth to discover time cycles, art, agriculture, language, and other universal stapes previously believed to be invented by man.

The Great Cosmic Mother revives modern and ancient matriarchal history allowing all readers to truly understand women as the creators of culture, innovators, and peacemakers throughout time. Through illustrations, symbolism, and explorations of folklore and mythology, this profound source of wisdom on the goddess movement will empower you to find your divine feminine energy and unlock the goddess within.

This profound sourcebook for the Goddess movement reveals:

  • Goddess Worship: A sweeping overview of the Great Mother, drawing on religious, cultural, and archaeological sources to illuminate humanity's shared heritage before the patriarchy.
  • The Divine Feminine: An exploration of how women, through their connection with the cycles of the moon and earth, discovered time, art, agriculture, and language.
  • Women's History: A revival of ancient matriarchal history that re-envisions women as the original creators of culture, innovators, and peacemakers throughout time.
  • Mythology and Folklore: A deep dive into the symbolism, folklore, and myth that will empower you to connect with your own divine feminine energy and unlock the goddess within.

Not as expected

Unfortunately I ordered mine before the last review that said these are slip-ins. I'm not understanding that sock thing. It makes it harder to put the shoe on (So opposite of a slip-in) And it pulls your sock down (pictures show them wearing one) constantly when you're walking. And apparently the shoelaces are just for looks? But they're so long you have to tie them anyway, and as someone said the laces are bad. Skinny wax. I'm going to give this three stars though because they are very comfortable. So at this point in time I don't know if I'm going to return them (I got brown) as there aren't too many sneaker dress shoes (arch support) there's dress shoes that are more comfortable (but not sneaker comfortable).

Light but average
Size: 10.5, Color: Black
Three stars. These are very lightweight and seem fine for the price, but the leather felt a bit too thin for what I was looking for. I didn’t even end up trying them on because they just didn’t feel like they would hold up long term. They’re not bad if you need something inexpensive for occasional wear, but I wanted something that would last. It felt like they might scratch easily, so I decided to return these and go with a more expensive option instead.
