The Tiffen 4x5.65" Decamired�Red�Set of�Glass Filters - Takes the guesswork out of determining color temperature. Acts as a conversion filter for color temperature adjustments from any point to any other point in the color temperature scale. Can be used to create "proper" coloration in unusual situations and to make creative alterations.

Applications include keeping color temperature constant during the course of the day and producing the effect of different times of day. Available in two series, reddish filters that warm the light and bluish filters that cool the light. Each series contains 4 densities: 1.5,�3, 6, and 12. Filters in the same series can be combined.
- The decamired system has an advantage over the Kelvin system in that the Kelvin scale is not linear
- Decamired readings provide more accurate/controllable readings than Kelvin
- The difference between the Mired value of the film and the Mired value of the light is the Mired value of the correction filter that correctly tailors the light to the film
A simple formula
-
- Mired value = 1000000 : Kelvin value
- Kelvin value = 1000000 : Mired value
- For 5600K daylight color film, the Mired value is 1000000 divided by 5600 = 78.6
- For 3000K artificial light, the Mired value is 1000000 divided by 3000 = 333.3
- 78.6 minus 333.33 equals -154.7 or -15 Decamired
- A positive value indicates a reddish KR filter, a negative value indicates a bluish KB filter
- Thus, the filter required to adapt the 3000K halogen light (the slightly low value results from the mains voltage being lower than its nominal voltage) to a 5600K daylight color film is a blue Conversion Filter

Has fit perfectly into my morning espresso

This seems to me to be an excellent small kitchen scale. I am new to the complexities of espresso making and have begun using this scale every morning to measure my dose and output. It is working just fine. Easy to operate, keep clean and store. I did not give it 5 stars because I have limited comparisons but I don’t expect and will not bother looking for anything better.

Perfectly fits what I needed for my espresso habit!

This Maestri House mini coffee scale is a great little tool for espresso and pour-over. The size is compact enough to fit under a portafilter or cup, and the 0.1g accuracy makes dialing in coffee much easier. Maestro House Mini Coffee Scale
I have begun to drink tea, pu’erh tea to be specific. I have several varieties and I have had a problem with getting consistent results. The varieties can be very different in size depending on when the leaves are harvested (leaves harvested in spring are much smaller). So the easiest way to get consistent results is by weight. This scale is very easy to use with a ceramic tea scoop, set the tea scoop on the scale, zero it out and add tea leaves. This has made my results much better, without the wild swings in strength I had been getting before trying to eyeball even measures. This scale gives me accurate measurements to one tenth of a gram.

Mostly great, except one little annoyance

Pros- lightweight, small, very accurate, easy to clean, timer included.
Cons- I use this to brew espresso on my Breville Touch and to get an accurate reading, you have to place something flat (structured) under the scale. Otherwise the reading just jumps all over the place. I know lot of espresso machines have the same base, so this might be an issue for some!
This is my reason for 4/5 stars. It’s an easy fix, it’s just kind of annoying. Value for the price seems to be on point. It’s easy to clean. It has a timer as well as scale (nice for espresso). Buttons work the first time you push them.
