Es sorprendente la cantidad de aeronaves que sufren cortes de energía. Los sistemas redundantes que solucionan este problema suelen ser costosos, complejos y pesados. Una forma de seguir volando de manera segura sin agregar mucho peso, complejidad o costo es simplemente agregar una batería de respaldo interna disponible opcionalmente al EFIS o FlightDEK. Esta batería se hará cargo automáticamente de la alimentación del instrumento en caso de que falle la alimentación principal, lo que permitirá continuar el vuelo hasta que pueda llegar de manera segura al siguiente aeropuerto.

La batería y el circuito de carga están convenientemente alojados dentro del EFIS y cargan automáticamente esa batería cada vez que se aplica energía externa. Una puerta independiente, a la que el usuario puede acceder, en la caja del instrumento facilita la instalación y extracción de la batería en cualquier momento.

Cómo funciona: Cada vez que el EFIS pierde su alimentación principal, se publica instantáneamente un mensaje en la pantalla para alertar al piloto de que el instrumento se apagará en 30 segundos a menos que se tomen medidas adicionales. Con solo presionar cualquier botón del instrumento, continúa funcionando con energía de la batería.

Los cortes de energía ocurren realmente: Más de un piloto nos ha llamado para agradecernos esta función que salva vidas. Si bien a menudo pensamos que nunca nos sucederá, las estadísticas sugieren lo contrario. Dynon recomienda que los fabricantes implementen algún tipo de respaldo que permita un vuelo seguro continuo independientemente de si la aeronave sufre un corte de energía o si falla el instrumento en sí.

The adhesive is very strong to the point where I needed to use a tool to get it off while moving, so you’ll never have to worry about it popping off your sink! I can only figure that this fits in all sinks because at my old apartment I had a very small sink the only thing I didn’t like due to having a small sink my rag was always touching the bottom of the sink and there wasn’t any space left in the side I had it on. If you have a big sink I’d suggest this item because it looks nice and it gives your wash cloth and sponge a home in the kitchen!

Good Quality but Limited Space for Multiple Bottles

This organizer is decent quality, but it ended up being smaller than I expected. For reference, I usually keep the following items at my sink: • Dawn squeeze dish soap • Mrs. Meyers hand soap • Dr. Brown’s bottle soap • A sponge • A bottle brush All of these items fit comfortably in my previous sink caddy that I bought on Amazon. Unfortunately that one eventually started peeling and rusting, which is why I replaced it. With this one, the narrow section on the left side limits how much you can actually store. It works well for the brush, but it reduces the usable space for bottles. Because of that, fitting multiple soap bottles plus a sponge is a little tight. I also think my previous organizer was slightly wider, which made a bigger difference than I realized. One feature I do like is the removable plastic tray on the bottom. It catches water well and keeps the counter from getting messy, which is a nice touch. Overall, it’s usable and I will keep it, but if you normally keep several bottles and tools at your sink like I do, I would recommend paying close attention to the measurements before ordering.
