This is a photograph of the largest iceberg in the world by Anouska Freedman. The A23A is twice the size of Sydney! (It is also twice of London and thrice of New York.) The Portal shows a sharp contrast between the white iceberg and the dark blue water, and this would display perfectly on walls with red, yellow, or wooden colors.

More than just a floating chunk of ice, icebergs have a great influence over ocean currents, underwater climate, sea level, and marine life. Rising global temperatures have increased the melting rate of icebergs which bring drastic changes such as habitat destruction, food web disruption, rising sea levels, and more. This particular iceberg is slowly drifting to warmer waters, which will ultimately shrink its size.

From Anouska Freedman: A23A, the largest iceberg in the world. - A23a is a large tabular iceberg which calved from the Filchner–Ronne Ice Shelf in 1986. It was then stuck on the sea bed for many years but then started moving in 2020. Its area is about 3,900 square kilometres. I was lucky enough to bypass this iceberg in early 2024 on an expedition to the Antarctic peninsula. This is just a small section of the huge iceberg that was a breathtaking spectacle and few in the world have been witness this floating ice giant.

A must read for Adult Survivors of childhood Emotional abuse
Format: Paperback
A definite must read especially if you have difficult family relationships. My childhood was very unhappy and confusing as I had a mother who is a borderline. My father, who seemed to be the anchor of reason in our family, recently passed causing some very difficult and seemingly unreasonable discussions. My mother was all over the place emotionally, causing me as an adult many sleepless nights from her verbal vomits. This book really gave me renewed courage and strength to find and hold my ground and feel right about setting boundaries for myself. As a survivor of a borderline, it is very difficult to have good healthy relationships with your own children because even years after you’ve left home and have your own family, those words “I hate you, I wish you’d never been born” can still come to haunt you and cause you to doubt yourself. I gave a copy of this book to my sisters. One read it, and both she and her husband devoured it. It really has helped us to separate ourselves from some of the family crazy, and be more Christ centered and ministry focused. Our mother was quite good at throwing “bible” at us and using it rather inappropriately to fit her agendas, always causing us to doubt our effectiveness in ministering your other individuals.

Most Helpful Book. Taught me a lot about myself too.
Format: Paperback
I purchased this book in an effort to make sense of a toxic family member. This book was so helpful for that but also helpful in teaching me how to respond and not become toxic myself.

Healthy

Informative and full of insight. It helped me to see there is a difference between a difficult person and a toxic one. Also the danger of labeling, name calling and toxicity.
