Made by Horween Leather Co. in Chicago, the unique process infuses the leather with oils and waxes, giving it a brilliant sheen and deep color. This type of leather is called a "pull-up" leather, because as the material is stretched or bent, the infused waxes and oils move around, causing changes in the color.
As a result, Chromexcel is made to be worn and makes a great material for a watch strap. You will find it to be durable and to pickup signs of wear that only add to its character.
Each of my leather straps comes with quick-release spring bars for convenient strap changes, a handsome stitched border and a classy yet robust brushed buckle.
Due to the nature of a natural material like leather, I highly recommend a deployant buckle for your strap. These deployant buckles will not only allow you quicker on/off the wrist, but they will put less stress on the leather holes, creating fewer creases and increasing the life of your strap. You can find those here.
