Critically, this digging bar features an insulated shaft made from fibreglass. This shaft is what offers the exceptional insulation required to meet BS8020:2011, allowing the tool to be used around live conductors carrying up to 10,000V with reduced danger.
The heads at either end of the tool serve different purposes, with the pointed end being the best choice for initially breaking up stiff or heavy soils, whilst the chisel end is the perfect tool for leveraging stones and debris out of the way, allowing a spade or shovel to be used with greater ease.
